Course Title: How to use the International Existing Building Code (Afternoon)

Course Description: 

This half-day course will be a review of how the IEBC balances the constraints of an older building with the requirements of a newer code.

Objectives:

* We’ll layout how the IEBC empowers code officials to be flexible in applying the codes while still ensuring public safety.

As a Certified Building Official and building code educator with over 15 years of experience in the building industry, Joseph is dedicated to ensuring the safety and compliance of structures in the communities he serves. Joseph holds 19 certifications from the International Code Council (ICC) and has spent the past five years sharing his expertise as a building code educator, helping professionals and students alike better understand the complexities of building codes. Joseph’s background includes a Bachelor of Urban Planning & Development from Ball State University. Joseph’s passion lies in advancing building safety and fostering education within the industry, ensuring that the communities he serve are equipped with safe, sustainable structures.
